Gaming disorder has been identified as a diagnosable mental disorder by the World Health Organization (WHO). It has been included in the 11th Revision of the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-11). The International Classification of Diseases (ICD) is the international standard for reporting diseases and health conditions and is used by medical practitioners around the world. Gaming disorder has been described as an urgent public health problem.
This is an e- health intervention for Gaming Disorder. The e- health intervention is targeted at the students with an aim to strengthen their knowledge and skills. The overall goal of the intervention is to strengthen and support the prevention, early detection and intervention for gaming disorder among students. It is expected that following the successful completion the participants shall be able to put the learning into practice.
This intervention is being developed with funding support from Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and is currently being evaluated for acceptability and effectiveness among students.

This intervention is being developed with funding support from Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) as part of the Grant-in-aid Scheme of the Department of Health Research for ‘Inter-Sectoral Convergence & Coordination for Promotion and Guidance on Health Research
This e- health intervention is offered in online mode. The content is presented across four Modules. Following enrollment, the intervention can be accessed from an internet-enabled device including PC, tablet, or phone.
The following modules are offered as part of the intervention-
Module 1: Addiction Beyond Alcohol, Tobacco and other Drugs
Module 2: Understanding Gaming Disorder
Module 3: Screening & Identification of Gaming Disorder
Module 4: Prevention & Management of Gaming Disorder
It shall take around 1 hour to complete the intervention.
There are no charges for taking up this intervention.
The intervention is targeted at students.
